My first standup rod 60 - 80 lbs... Thanks to Jim Kastorff and Dean Pertot (Donart)for their help in choosing the components for this project.

Cleaned, sanded and 2 coats of True-oil on old none filled handles

Seat was in such bad shape decided to refinish it. "Tinted Permagloss" for new finsh. Tinted with Testors metal flake paint

Got to have some fun with this one! It's an old rod I've had for years. Finally decided to redo it. I left the original handle and seat on the rod, just cleaned them up and gave them a new look. Corks worn, but decided I liked the look. The wide inlet in the cork was where the handle was in bad shape, so I marbelized it. The two adjacted rings are colored epoxy.

Just finished it up last night and am shipping it outa here today. Rods an Allstar BE844P popping rod, but makes a great spinner. Have built 3 rods on this blank and those using them love them for med-light spinners.
