  1. G&L FlyCraft Bow River Series 905-4 with rainbow

Beautiful 18 1/2" Crowsnest River rainbow taken by one of our customers with his G&L FlyCraft BR905-4. The picture was too pretty not to post! The wood used on the rod is Spalted Madrone Burl from Andy Dear at Lamar...thread is 3/0 silk "medium brown".
  2. Isn't field-testing fun? Beautiful 13# Coho that gave our new SS967-4 a good test, going aerial no less than 11 times during the battle! The wood in the grip and reel seat is Afzelia burl from Andy Dear at Lamar.
  3. Result of some field testing

Just a "braggin' shot" taken while field testing our new G&L FlyCraft Salmon & Steelhead Series model SS967-4. The fish is a 39 3/4" 33lb chinook (king/spring) doe taken on the Vedder River in BC, Canada.
  4. G&L FlyCraft Salmon & Steelhead Series 908-4

Our new Salmon & Steelhead Series in 908-4 with beautiful madrone burl from Andy Dear at Lamar. Man that guy has nice wood!

  7. G&L FlyCraft Crowsnest River Series Rod

The first time we turned Macassar Ebony we knew exactly how we'd use it--it has the dense grain and rich tone we were looking for in accent rings in our Crowsnest River Series grips. Here it frames rings turned from a spectacular piece of stabilized Box Elder Burl. We then carried the "double trim" theme into the thread wraps, which are done in Gudebrod Chestnut with Ole' Gold Metallic. Hope you like the result as much as we do! It's become our "signature" on all our Crowsnest River Series rods. Thanks for looking! John Launstein
  8. G&L FlyCraft Crowsnest River Series rod

Another view of a freshly "baptized" Crowsnest River Series rod.
  9. One of our Crowsnest River Series rods playing in the water. Also shown is one of our tubes, purchased through REC. Wood is Box Elder Burl with Macassar Ebony trim rings.
  10. G&L FlyCraft Crowsnest River Series 905-4

A Crowsnest River Series rod being baptized in some of our favorite water. Insert and trim rings turned from Box Elder Burl, accented with 1/16" Macassar Ebony rings. Thread is Gudebrod Chestnut with Ole' Gold Metallic trim wraps. Wood blanks purchased from Andy Dear at Lamar Reel Seats (as always). Decals from Decal Connection.
  11. G&L FlyCraft Bow River Series 905-4

A Bow River Series rod along the banks of the "upper" Bow in the Rocky Mountains. Wood is Madrone Burl turned from a blank from Andy Dear (Lamar), decals from Decal Connection.
  12. G&L FlyCraft Bow River Series 906-4 on the ice

A Bow River Series rod getting familiar with the waters of it's namesake! Guess we were a little anxious, though... Amboyna insert and trim turned from blank from Lamar Reel Seats, decals from Decal Connection.
  13. Amboyna Insert on G&L FlyCraft rod

Check out the figuring in this Amboyna! The wood blank was purchased from Andy Dear at Lamar Reel Seats, and is married to a Struble U-22 Titanium seat.
