Can you guess what gave me the inspiration?
Coral Snake. I just forget which species...lol Eastern maybe?
Red touch yellow, kill a fellow. Red touch black, venom lack.
My photography skills need some improving. Had a black grip and a red grip, both eva. Cut'em up, placed a yellow ring in between and glued'em up. I kinda like it...now the wife wants it.
The blue/yellow/black pieces are 70 degree hardness eva. I glued them up with some red eva and it sanded down fine. This stuff is HARD! I have now idea what hardness the red eva is. I'm guessing around 50-60.
Just tinkering around with regular thread and no cp. This was regular nylon red & orange. The before photo is before the finish and the after photo is with finish. My photography skills still lack desirable results but you get the gist of it.
First time I've tried the candy apple effect. The guide was wrapped in gold metallic and finished. The I went over it with Gudebrod Regular Orange and no cp. I alternated the guides wraps with ornage and candy apple red.
Here I hollowed out the butt cap to place another washer. The butt cap is turned from a rubberized cork ring. This is also my first attempt at extending a rod. So far, so good!
Here is a grip I'm building for a rod extension. I noticed that extending the rod made it tip heavy. I hollowed out the end of the grip to place two washers.
Here's a grip I'm making for a rod extension. The grip will be finished off with a rubberized cork butt cap. This is going on a Forecast 6'6" spinning rod using a Shimano Sahara 1000.
