These are the TLNSG10's that fractured as I explained on the Rodbuilding.org message board. Interestingly, both fractured in the exact same spot.

Split grip on a Pac Bay TRSP781-2. Acacia insert. I finished the insert in satin finish this time. Doesn't look as nice in the photo but I like the satin look in person.

I reproduced this wrap at a customers request to replace a rod his uncle made him 20 years ago that finally broke.

Closeup of the bronco weave. I used Size D NCP white for the wrapping thread and Size D Dark Blue. Doubled up on size A orange because I didn't have size D. Wore nitrile gloves to keep the white clean.

Great multi-purpose rod for plugging for stripers, CA Halibut Drifting, and Salmon Mooching among other things. Light marblizing. Thread is Candy Apple Red without color preserver. I'm thoroughly impressed with the performance of this blank for the $.
