    Close up of bite guard. It was made partially retentive because he is unable to remove it from his mouth with his hands. It is retentive enough that he can rest his jaw while it is in his mouth.

    A patient of mine has Lou Gehrig's disease and has lost the ability to move. He is a professor at a university and is on the computer a lot. He uses the pointer to move the mouse and enter text. Made out of a fishing rod and a bite guard, and rubber tip.
