  1. Rod inscription to match hossel and guide

This inscription was mixed from some orange, brown, and yellow paint to match the orange trim on the guide wraps. Again, the light was a bit different for each photo, but the end result was a perfect match.
  2. Guide wrap to match hossel

Amtak 3-foot guide with gudebrod nylon Rust and orange NCP trim. Matches thread hossel, though light in photo doesn't make them look alike.
  3. Thread hossel on 7 wt

This is a thread hossel I put on a 10' 7 wt steelhead rod. I built up the hossel with 5-minute epoxy while the rod was turning. Then I wrapped over with Gudebrod rust and Orange NCP for the trims. No color preserver.
  4. Marble wrap on my float rod

This is a marbilized wrap that I did on my 13' rainshadow float rod. It is the green rainshadow blank. The wrap was done over the bare blank with TAP plastics resin and LS Supreme. I used the green pigment with LS and darkened it a bit with some black. I used that for the base color. Then I swirled white, black, and grey (black/white mix)through the green and let it dry. Not bad for a first attempt.
  5. Amtak Black/gold

This is an Amtak black frame/gold ring guide that I used as a stripper on a spey rod. The thread is black/gold twist from gudebrod and the blank is an amtak IMG 14' spey.
  6. Guide on SCIV matte green

This is a picture of an Amtak 3-foot guide on my 9' 10 wt St Croix SCIV. The thread is teal with white NCP trim. No color preserver.
  7. Does it ever stop?

  8. A mountain stream

This is where mountain jewels are found.
  9. Mountain Jewel

This is a native brookie from a local mountain stream. It was about 3 1/2" long and still put up quite a fight on my 5'2" fiberglass 4 wt.
