  1. My Surf Caster (#2)

Here is a close up of the guide wrapping. I have fished this rod for over four years now. I can't believe the colors haven't faded.
  2. My Surf Caster

I used Fuji guides for the top three guides and tip. Then I used only two wire guides in black. This was my first rod. I wasn't too sure about guide spacing, so I just copied another rod I had built that was similar.
  3. Wilson Grip Bottom

I did the bottom in regular cork rings and after hours of reeming to nearly a 1" inner diameter. I used a bic lighter to put the burn marks. I still haven't put a final coat of Flex over the cork. I did the butt wrap there and above the handle all the way into the first guide.
  4. My Wilson Tennis Grip Surf Rod

I did a few wraps of masking tape and then used a double layer of Wilson tennis racket leather tape. It looks great and feels nice. I used one cork ring to top the leather off at the top. This is a 9' Seeker blank.
  5. My First Rod (#2)

Here is a top view. I don't really like the top view as much as the side view.
  6. My First Rod

I always liked the way a wide horizontal diamond wrap looked from the side. (Especially in metallic.) This was my very first rod to build.
  7. My Second Rod (#2)

I tried to get a better shot of the thread.
  8. My Second Rod

I saw a Tarton wrap on here several years ago and finally got around to attempting it and posting my pictures. By the way, it is really hard to take good pictures of rod wrap.
