This is a prototype buffing setup with three buffs mounted on a 1/2" mandrel. It works phenomenally for buffing wood and/or metal. Although it is somewhat similiar to other dedicated lathe buffing units on the market,it is meant to be mounted in a chuck, and does not need a morse taper adapter like others, which means it will be priced considerably less than comparable units. Look for a release real soon! By the way, the Red Mallee seat pictured in the Handle Assembly section was the same seat being buffed in this pic.

Red Mallee finished with Minwax Spar Urethane from Home Depot...$5.00 and some elbow grease.

This Red Mallee insert was finished with Minwax Spar Urethane (aeresol) and then hand rubbed to a high gloss shine. I thought it looked pretty good for a $5.00 bottle of finish!
