Combination of fish pattern and CRTA #50 in double axis.
  3. Calstar GF100J w turks head

Calstar GF 100J jig stick plus 9 X 8 turks head. Same color pattern as my other jig sticks

Fish design and combination pattern on Calstar GF 100J 10 ft jig stick.
  5. Sabre 196 Fish pattern & guide wrap

guide wrap on Sabre rod posted while back. Also to show the blank color.
  6. Sabre 196 Fish pattern

Rewrap of old Sabre 196. Used earth tones and put as many as the diameter allowed. One more epoxy will be put on after the guides.
  7. Turks head pliers and cutters

Duckbill pliers and Channerlock wire cutters decorated and custom made holsters to carry both. Made this as a favor to a friend on a San Diego long range boat
  8. Optical Chevron

Optical Chevrons on an old rod. Do not know make but I stripped this from a nice quality rod blank probably from the fifties.
  9. Rod Supports

Work in progress for a long time. Been meaning to finish for over a year but been too busy fishing and since I have another wrapper. Made 6 supports and length can be 12 feet. Rollers are for aircraft cable with ball bearings bought at surplus store and O-rings cushions. The aluminum support bars is half inch thick by 1 inch.
  10. Butt Alignment Tool

Same tool but long view to show that back side and wingnuts.
  11. Butt Alignment Tool

Made with scrap plastic found at swapmeet. Using 2 inch Aluminum angle with slots for the screw with wingnuts to hold the straight edge against the back stop. This holds down the rod firmly allowing freedom of both hands.
  12. Lami St John

St John on Lamiglas 10' 6" spinning rod. Stitched photo of top and side view to show the connecting crosses.
  13. Old rods rewrapped

Couple of older rods rewrapped couple of years ago. Top is Roddy 8' and bottom is Kelp Kutter 8'.
  14. Fishermans Belt

I also work with leather and I made few of these for friends as well. It is stamped "TIGHT LINES" if it is not clear. I may have to reinstall my computer game.
  15. Turks Head Torpedo Handles

I recently bought a Digital Camera and uninstalled a computer game. Hope this explains these posts. Anyway one of my hobby has been nautical knots. I put the turks head on the torpedo knobs because while I crank I missed lots of hooks ups because the fingers would slip off of these old handles. I like the older colored knobs that Penn used to make on my Jigmasters.
