Trying something different with this rod. I have done 2 wraps of the same pattern with 4 repeats in each pattern. One is in the split grip, the other in front of the foregrip. I'll CP and then apply 2-3 coats of epoxy. Wait a week for the epoxy to harden up and then mount the grips and reel seat. I want to hide the tie off areas.

Feather inlay of Rhea, hackle, green pheasent, turkey and jungle cock. Base wrap is Maroon, crimson, light brown and tan Mettler/Brother polyester 40#. Handles are Tulip Rosewood with Wenge seat.

Flame wrap done in fluro colours on a Pacific Composites Prograph blank with matching inlayed red/yellow and black grips. The guides were all marbled in flame colours.

This is my version of the desert rose. Done on a GUSA 604DHX in Mettler Polysheen.

This rod was done as a retirement present for a Police officer with 32 years service. The eagle represents the state emblem, the colours are the state Police colours, the opal is Australia's national gemstone.

Threadwork done in Mettler Polysheen 40# and Fish Hawk silk sparkle.
