Here is a pic of the rod with the reel. The reel is a Diawa Pixy specifically designed for lightweight applications.

This is my new Senko/light tube bait rod for smallmouth. Built on CTS blank. Wraps are also yello, blank is purple.

Here is one last picture of the handle. The cork is blue burl. It has not been finished yet to bring out the nice powder/light blue.

These are New Fuji guides. with SIC ring. Had to get these from Japan.

CTS 7' Blank, Deep blue. Reel is Diawa Luvais 2500 Wraps are a veragated silver and light blue. The Gold brings out the gold on the luvais.

Here are the wraps for the musky rods. Nothing fancy just nice and neat.

Working on a personal rod for opening day musky. Red Cork, Red reelseat, red reel, I will have silver guides and red metalic thread.

here are my guide wraps. Each color is alternated as a main wrap with a 4 turn trim wrap.

THis is the foregrip, winding check (made out of an acylic for pens and the thread colors i have in my guides. Tried to do it as a transition and it came out well.

This is a new Smallmouth rod I made for myself.

This is the foregrip. The winding check was made out of a man made material used for pen blanks. It was a pain to round off and get to fit correctly. I think this combo goes well with the woven blank

THis is a Musky rod i built for myself. I am playing with different materials.

The guides are Pac Bay. I was able to get a see through look using Gossamar sild (gray) and Permagloss.

Here is the rear portion of my split grip. You can not really see but the cork is blue as well

Learning how to work with wood!! The winding check is make out of a man made material that is swirl blue, and gold.

Here is another view. I turned down a piece of red cork to use as a butcap recessed in the base of the handle

Have not built a rod since september so here is my first one using my new lathe. The wood is Cedar. The foregrip and reelseat hood are inegrated
