More Practice, a Rod for my son's b-day. The weaving lights are starting to come on, I am in trouble again. .

Gave a rod to a photographer friend to shoot. This is size A thread. Talk about seeing gaps and errors, had to crop the photo just a bit to get rid of some the problem childs.

Well, I now have a new appreciation for all those weaves I have seen.

Trying to take on a few new things. Preparing for shorter tieoffs, the 1/4" tape on the ends was against the cork when I started, I have never had a wrap slip like this in the past.

The guide wrap on same rod, used only on double foot guides. Single foot guides still in dryer and not cooperating with the photographer. A bit too much epoxy here for my liking.

This is the handle assembly on the Lamiglas Perigee, my first attempt at checkerboarding. I also learned a bit about cork quality on this one. I still cant find a filler that matches really good.

Forecast Guides on a Lamiglas Perigee, the blank is really a green w/ gold flake. Once again, it is all in the lighting.

A Lamiglas Perigee I picked up from Custom Tackle on closeout, this has turned out to be my go to rod lately, caught and released 8 Chum Salmon Sunday afternoon, what a blast.

This a view of a AmTak Holographic Guide on a Rainshadow 1025 Steelhead Rod, this is the same rod I posted pics of before in the beautiful green finish. Lighting is everything, I could get the rod to "light up" from one side, but the guides would only "light up" from the opposite side, the blank looks almost black here.
