  4. 0126

Trying to submit a good photo - took 10 to get this one, I wish the wrap on teh right was covering the wrap on teh cover but I can't get another good pic, maybe it can be editted by someone at MH if it's chosen for teh calender?

  6. Flower Star

Been a while sinc eI posted here
  7. Butterfly Rod

HEre's a shot of the butt section. Not completed - still have to inlay a butterfly in teh foregrip & glue everything up & do some final sanding. This took WAY longer than I expected, I've sepnt about 15 hours on the grips alone 4 on the wraps. Glueing this stuff up is just so nasty & time consuming, I spent 6 hours in my shop yesterday working on these as well as another one.
  8. Butterfly Inlay

Butt side of the split grip. Switched the grip colors, the foregrip will be exactly the same. Sort of like the wrap.... Yellow in the middle, shading out to green - the grips - Yellow in the center, green on the ends. Guide wraps will match this as well - Gold trim at the ends, Green & Gold wrapped together - and Green in the middle. Too bad teh antenna were sanded through. DAMN!
  9. Butterfly Inlay

Front of the split grip of the Butterfly rod for my Mom. Needs some more sanding, unfortunately, the antenna has begun to get sanded through. That's a result of having a hard time fitting that thin strip into teh narrow slot I cut. Too much glue on my fingers, it kept pulling out.
  10. Fit for a King

7 1/2 hours on a Calstar 800L, 12 inches long. Gold Superior, 4 shades of Madiera Purple. Will be adding some Rubies once I get a coat of epoxy or 2 on there.
  11. Spaced Star w/ a Flare

Did some tinkering in visualwrap to come up with this pattern. Quite a pain to pack, spent 2 1/2 hours alone getting rid of gaps, total time to wrap this was 5 hours 10 minutes. Center diameter of the blank was 11mm, length of wrap 210mm, 6 repeats of the pattern.
  12. Brown blank, EVA, Cork, Inlay & wraps

My Dad's rod, I'm not into brown like that. Chestut brown Lami XC78H extended to 7'. Horse & jockey inlay, Brown EVA, gonna try and work in some sweet brown cork from Lamar (maybe do the inlay in the center of the butt grip in foam, the rest of the grips cork?)
