This is a copy of Zane Grey's rod I had on loan from a friend who owns the original. Faithfully replicated, the rod is layers of bamboo, hickory, and koa. The handle is Kao not ash like the original but the shape is identical. Wrapped burgandy and red of the finest Japanese Kimono silk this ones a beauty. I have won many blue ribbons and silver cup "Best of Show" awards for my rods as art. They are used to fish by many members of the exclusive rod
