I designed this with AutoCAD and made it from oak. The thread carriage has two shafts with spring pressure braking and one with magnetic braking I bought from Mudhole. Works great. The carriage adjusts laterally on a steel rod. The left hand upright also adjusts. It has a stand-alone upright for long rods or when it's useful. Two steel rods with rod tiptop on each are used for thread tension when I need to stop or backup a wrap. It also has velcro straps on the upright to keep the blank from spinning when I release it. It cost me about $50 overall. I sell most of the rods I make and it does a terrific job. I used
