Gun stock checkering

Some time ago in a post about wood being slippery when wet (not true, but) someone suggested maybe I could put gun stock checking on them.

Well, if you want it I can now do it.

I am surprised that this is comfortable. I thought the checkering might rub on the hand, but not so.
