First marbeling

I'm Mick's wife and I've been fascinated watching him build rods. I saw Randy and Mikes marbeling and wanted to try it on a reel seat. Instead of tinting finish, I used my old ceramics technique of painting the marbeling with sponge, feathers and tiny brushes and putting finish over the top. The flash and direct lighting seemed to wash out the gold colored veins I have running through it, the second picture picked up a lot more of the details.
