Custom Spinning Seat on GUSA 661DHX

My current favorite spinning rod handle assembly inspired by Tom Kirkman's work in RodMaker Magazine. It's a split rear grip (thank you, Rich Forhan)using a size 18 Fuji KFPSD Quik Lock Foregrip w/hood and a size 18 Fuji NPSD reel seat. Simply turn the foregrip to tighten or loosen the reel.

More sensitive and lighter than a Tennessee handle, but you can remove the reel easily when traveling or shipping. This is the most comfortable seat I've ever fished with.

Unfortunately, the Quik Lock foregrip is not readily available in size 18 and the seat is discontinued. Joe Meehan at AMTAK offers a similar seat (CRSC in sizes 16 and 18) but I would love to get the foregrips back in the catalogs.
